Born in Toronto, Ontario, on March 19, 1976, Rachel Elise Blanchard was recognized for her distinctive looks from a young age. Blanchard’s introduction to television acting came at the tender age of eight with a role in a McDonald’s commercial. This early exposure led to her participation in the beloved Canadian children’s series “The Kids of Degrassi Street.” She continued to explore various roles, appearing in “The Littlest Hobo” and “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”
Her rise to prominence was marked by her role in the American comedy series “Clueless,” where she portrayed Cher Horowitz, a well-to-do orphan who takes it upon herself to manage the romantic affairs of those around her. To immerse herself in this role, Blanchard visited various high schools in Los Angeles, absorbing the local culture. Blanchard’s career continued to flourish with her role in the 1999 horror film “The Rage: Carrie 2,” starring Emily Bergl.
