Lindsey Shaw

Born Lindsey Marie Shaw on May 10, 1989, in Lincoln, Nebraska, she was the sole child in her family. Neither of her parents had ties to the cinematic or entertainment sectors. Her mother, Barbara Shaw, devoted herself entirely to nurturing her daughter. Lindsey showed a propensity for the performing arts early on, enjoying singing and dancing and charming everyone around her.

Lindsey naturally took on a leadership role among her peers and was actively involved in the social life of her school. At one of the school functions, talent agents from Kansas City spotted the young Lindsey and offered her a work contract at the age of nine. This opportunity led to a plethora of job offers, which filled her schedule and made it quite hectic. To manage her burgeoning career alongside her academic responsibilities, Lindsey had to resort to homeschooling to ensure she could continue her education and ultimately earn her high school diploma.

Lindsey Shaw’s acting journey commenced in 2003 with her casting in the youth-oriented television series “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.” The show gained rapid popularity and was aired not only in the USA but also internationally in the United Kingdom and Germany. The series, which ran from 2004 to 2007, featured a vibrant young cast including Devon Werkheiser and Daniel Curtis Lee.

Additionally, Shaw took part in the short film “The Great Lie” in 2005, which also starred David Burr and Jayne Frazer. In 2007, she landed the role of Claire Tolchuck in “Aliens in America.” From 2008 to 2009, Shaw was seen in “Eleventh Hour,” where she worked alongside Marley Shelton, Omar Benson Miller, and Sarah Ospina.

Shaw’s performance in the sci-fi detective series garnered attention and led to her casting in the comedic series “10 Things I Hate About You.” In this series, revolving around the relationship dynamics of two sisters, Shaw played Kat, a thoughtful, steadfast feminist. The show was well-received globally, airing in markets such as the USA, Germany, England, and Japan, and it won favorable reviews from both critics and audiences.

In 2010, Shaw was featured in the family adventure movie “Nic & Tristan Go Mega Dega.” She also joined the cast of “Pretty Little Liars,” a mystery thriller about four friends plagued by enigmatic letters following the demise of a friend.

2011 saw Shaw appearing in multiple projects, including “Body of Proof,” “Teen Spirit,” and “Suburgatory.” She secured a starring role in the series “16-Love” in 2012. By 2015, Shaw had taken on a significant role in the romantic film “Yellow Day.” Subsequently, she contributed to the series “Temps,” adopting the role of a determined careerist and also serving as a producer, further showcasing her versatility in the entertainment industry.

Lindsey Shaw is notably private about her personal life. Following her time on the series “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” she started a relationship with co-star Devon Werkheiser. The two maintained a discreet romance and quietly ended their relationship after some time.

In 2009, media outlets reported that Lindsey had begun a relationship with actor Ethan Peck, whom she met while working on the set of “10 Things I Hate About You.” The romance between them blossomed rapidly and endured for nearly eighteen months. However, by 2010, they had mutually agreed to go their separate ways.
