Emily Rudd

Born on February 24, 1993, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Emily Ellen Rudd grew up in a family where both parents, Jeffrey and Michelle, worked as business analysts. She has an older brother, Dan. From an early age, Emily displayed a keen interest in the performing arts. She was also active in sports, taking part in karate and horseback riding, and she began to venture into the modeling world.

After excelling academically at Saint Paul High School, Emily pursued further studies at an arts college and eventually earned a degree in theater arts. Her initial foray into music video production began in 2013, and she made a significant move to Los Angeles in 2015, marking a pivotal moment in her career.

Amid her involvement in music video productions, Emily Rudd engaged in the development of short films, quickly securing a principal role in the movie “Sea Change.” Subsequently, she appeared in a supporting role in “Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams.” In 2018, Emily featured in the series “The Romanoffs” alongside Aaron Eckhart and Marthe Keller.

Following her stint in “Dynasty” in 2021, Emily participated in the adaptation of R.L. Stine’s “Fear Street,” where she played Cindy Berman across three installments of the supernatural slasher series. She acted alongside Kiana Madeira, Benjamin Flores Jr., Maya Hawke, and Fred Hechinger. That same year, Emily was cast in the dramatic series “Hunters.”

Additionally, she joined the principal cast of “One Piece.” Afterward, she revealed to her fans that this role was a pivotal moment in her career, stating that portraying Nami was a fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Alongside her work on this Netflix series, Emily collaborated with Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor, Mason Gooding, and Christine Adams on the sci-fi romance “Moonshot.”

Emily Rudd currently opts to maintain privacy regarding her personal life across social media platforms and in her interviews. Between 2015 and 2016, she was in a relationship with Justin Blau, an American producer and DJ famous under the stage name 3LAU. They first crossed paths on the set of a music video and began dating after seven months.

In 2023, Emily Rudd returned to the screen with the launch of the second season of “Hunters,” sharing scenes with notable actors such as Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, Dylan Baker, and Carol Kane. That same year, on August 31, the much-anticipated series “One Piece” was released, where Emily starred alongside Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Vincent Regan, Taz Skylar, Jacob Gibson, and Jeff Ward.

In a revealing interview, Emily conveyed that she felt destined to portray Nami. She also highlighted that she was the sole woman among the ensemble of the “Straw Hat Pirates,” adventurers of the treacherous Grand Line. Emily discussed how the narrative centered on themes of discovering family, seeking freedom, and chasing dreams, noting that mastering the stunt sequences presented a fresh challenge in her career.
