Adria Arjona Torres was born in the vibrant city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 25, 1992. Her life took an international turn shortly after her birth when her family moved to Mexico. Arjona’s childhood years were spent absorbing the cultural richness of Mexico City, where she lived until the age of 12. Being the daughter of the renowned musician Ricardo Arjona, she was exposed to a world filled with artistic influences from a very young age.

At the age of 12, Adria’s life took another turn when she moved to Miami. Here, she attended high school and it was during these formative years that she solidified her decision to pursue acting as a career. At 18, she relocated to New York City.

Her time in New York City was a period of both challenge and growth. Arjona enrolled in a three-month acting course at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, where she honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the acting profession. Adria Arjona’s ascent in the world of television began in earnest in 2014 with her participation in the series “Unforgettable.” Here, she acted alongside Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, showcasing her talent in a mainstream setting. This role was soon followed by her appearance in two episodes of the series “Person of Interest,” where she portrayed the character Dani Silva, sharing the screen with renowned actors like Sarah Shahi and Jim Caviezel.

In 2015, Arjona took a significant step in her career with her appearance in the film “Little Galicia.” Although the movie did not markedly elevate her fame, it coincided with her being offered a role in the second season of “True Detective.” In this critically acclaimed series, Arjona was cast as Emily, sharing the stage with notable actors such as Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch.
